Wekiva Aquatics Honors Sponsors, Fundraisers, and City of Apopka 11/9/2023 The Mustang Swim team hosted their annual sponsor and fundraising celebration November 8 at Hurricane Grill & Wings Apopka. The awards included appreciation to Mayor Nelson and the City of Apopka for use of the Camp Wewa pool. Wekiva Aquatics wanted to show appreciation to our sponsors including Hurricane Grill & Wings Apopka, Pinch-a-Penny, V3 Capital, Signature Dezigns, Eggs Up Grill, and many more community-based businesses. Wekiva and Apopka High Schools are so appreciative of the efforts made by the City of Apopka to make sure the two high schools could have a location for a swim season this year. Carolyn Ray and her staff at Camp Wewa went above and beyond to the best of their ability and, with limited pool specs, accommodated both schools having somewhere close to 60 student-athletes and families with a place to temporarily practice as well as host swim meets.
